Universities of California for Sciences?

So my question is, which UC has the best undergraduate science program education wise, (particularly biology). I'm not asking which name has the most merit when it's brought up, but which really has the best educational opportunity. Yes, and I know "college is what you make of it".

I think UCSD. Though UCLA and UCB are also excellent. Then Davis, Irvine, SB, etcc. SD,LA,and B, i dont know if you would say it is a "educational oppurtunity" but more like a "top-level educational competition" for biology. Many students, cuve, not enough good grades to go around, lots of :( faces.

San Diego and Davis are both strong when it comes to biology. I think Irvine is quite good as well.

UCSD, UCLA and UC Berkeley would be the best bets. They also happent to be the hardest three UC's to get into and also are the three highest ranked. If you can get into one of them for bio go for it. Next up would be UCI/UCSB/UCD. UC Santa Barbara has a new contract with Burnham in Santa Barbara, and UCI and UC Davis have excellent reps in bio as well. You really cant go wrong with any of the top 6 UC's in bio. But clearly UCSD, UCLA, and UC Berkeley are the most highly regarded in bio and the three best overall institutions. For educational opportunities, probably UCSD, as it is in the bio tech capital of the world (San Diego/La Jolla), with UCSD School of Medicine, UCSD Medical Center, The Salk Institute, The Burnham Institute, Scripps Research Institute, and countless other bio medical and bio engineering institutes and companies all located within La Jolla. Not to mention a strong bio department and labs at UCSD. That is my two sense. I recommend if you are fortunant enough to get into UCSD, UCLA, or UC Berkeley you attend one of those schools. However, UCI/UCSB/UCD are also excellent choices. I have also heard at UCSD that bio is quite cut throat and I would expect the same for UCLA and UC Berkeley. Best of luck!
