I would have more stuff if my school was bigger, definitely, but I go to a small private Christian High School that started less than 6 years ago and currently has only around 260 students IN TOTAL, so will colleges look at that factor as well?

Thank you!

Yes! (10 char)

Really!? I want to at least get into UC Davis, but if I get accepted at UC Berkely, I’d choose that over Davis.

You are a sophomore, you still need your junior year grades. I’d say it’s too early to predict. You will at least get into some lower UCs.

Ah, OK. I just want to know if I’m on the right track I suppose.

Oh… I thought the question was …“will colleges look at that factor as well?”…that’s why I said yes…

Check these out, especially with regard to number of A-G’s and UC GPA.

http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/campuses/files/davis.pdf</a></p>

UCs are hit and miss apply to everyone of them but UCR imo. I didn’t see your residence? Being in Cali really helps. I literally just posted something about my friends got into Ucb and Ucla with 3.3 gpas one for english, one for political science. They are transfer students though.

Ah, ok thanks shrinkrap!
And scienceguy, can you elaborate on what UCs being hit or miss means? I do live in Cali.

Take a look at this:
[University of California - California residents](http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/freshman/california-residents/index.html)
[University of California - Admission requirements](http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/freshman/requirements/index.html)

You’ll find it much more helpful than random opinions. Several of the UC’s automatically will accept you depending upon certain factors. Take a look.

My son was in the top 4% of his class (last years requirement), had a 4.xx gpa (took ap classes), and had all his a-g classes. He was accepted into the 3 he actually applied to…UCB, UCD, and UCSC. I think he had an automatic acceptance into several others but didn’t actually apply. He’s going to Univ of Penn.

As another person said, FA is tough to get. We qualified for Blue & Gold but that only paid $9K. You might be eligible for Pell or other aid…

Ah, ok, that’s seriously helpful! Is there a reason your son went to Univ of Penn instead of the UCs? Also, I’m looking to pursue a medical career, but I haven’t picked out a specific major yet, but it’s probably going to be something in Biology. Which UC offers the best medical preparation?
