Universities to transfer to, with expulsion on appeal

So... I want to complete my degree. Initially chose a very small Liberal Arts college; went there until first semester senior year, and stopped going to classes because I hit a bad patch. Failed those classes, GPA was still a 3.02. Worked 2 years, took online classes via a major university. Applied, successfully readmitted. Went there this semester, was on track for a 4.0 semester, switched to a History major. Out of the blue, a hearing, and I was expelled for non-academic reasons. I'm 24, and really, really tired of not being a college graduate. They WFed all my classes, bringing me to a 2.73, with 108 credits. I'm currently in the middle of an appeal. Was able to talk briefly to a mutual friend, an assistant dean of another major university. She first recommended applying after my appeal comes back; but after she heard more facts, she said it would be better to apply now, and when asked, say that I am currently appealing the expulsion. I had a merit scholarship till my personal episode first semester senior year (I'm old school- my SAT was a 700 verbal, 580 math). So, at this point, I just want OUT, with a degree that I can get a job with. Phoenix university et. al aren't of the strength to get jobs from what I hear, but at this point, I just want to graduate. The school and community railroaded me, and violated their own hearing process, to the point that even if found innocent, I probably wouldn't want to return (the assistant dean said the same thing). Regardless, I want something to look forward to, and so starting apps seems the best thing, in addition to the assistant dean's advice. Any suggestions where to apply?
