Universities with flexible citizenship requirements

Okay, wrong way to phrase the topic, but anyway.

I''ve heard there are some colleges in america that consider Canadians as American citizens?

Anyone got a list/info?

Well they won’t consider Canadians American citizens(why would they?). However some universities have the same financial aid policies towards Canadians as they do towards Americans. For example the University of Pennsylvania is need-blind towards US-Citizens and Canadians(as well as Mexicans I believe).

All of the Ivy League schools (check on Brown; for a while they had a different policy but I don’t know if they’ve since changed) are need-blind towards Canadians, Mexicans, and Americans, and need-aware for all other internationals. There are some others, like Amherst and MIT which are also need-blind to North Americans.

The majority of the Ivy League is need-blind for all international students, but I realize that the OP couldn’t care less.

^ Ah ok, I didn’t realize that, my mistake. Good to clarify for any other internationals who might be reading this thread =)
