What other universities are filled with beautiful (neo-)gothic architecture?

Duke, Boston College, Bryn Mawr, Rhodes, and Sewanee are the obvious colleges that come to mind. Cornell’s west campus is also Gothic.

This has been discussed many times.

I swear to god if this turns into a ****ing Hogwarts thread…

The ivies (not the entirety of them, but each of them has parts), Duke, Notre Dame, Boston College, U chicago, Bryn Mawr, hell I’m surprised there isn’t a “mattel bandai gothic architecture playset” at this point in time.

Rhodes College. Here’s a slideshow of photos one of the religious studies professors put together: [Rhodes campus album | Tom Bremer | Fotki.com](http://public.fotki.com/TomBremer/open_shots/rhodes_campus/)

Also Trinity College in Connecticut, U of Toledo.

Well, there are all the well known ones (Princeton, ND, etc) but the pictures I’ve seen of Virginia Tech actually look like they’ve done a pretty good job with their neogothic buildings.

Fordham University in New York has some of the most beautiful Gothic architecture around:

…and much more.

I was very impressed with the gothic architecture at Kenyon.

You want Gothic, go to Oxford or Cambridge. Every example of “Gothic” in the United States is fake.

Um, this may sound like a crazy suggestion, but…Oxford? (duh?)

^ ilovebagels already mentioned Oxford

How about Washington St. Louis?

^^ Yes, Wash U’s buildings are designed in what they describe as “collegiate gothic.” [Washington University in St. Louis](http://www.wustl.edu)

Aside from Cambridge and Oxford, there’s Durham, St Andrews, Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow that are well endowed with Gothic architectural edifices.

In the US, Duke, Chicago, Yale, Princeton and the University of the South.

One school that’s been neglected: Swarthmore. Or parts of it at least.

Oh! And Lehigh.

u of Chicago

Notre Dame’s architecture is beautiful, but is it actually Gothic? Same with Kenyon?

Kenyon’s Gothic architecture is not fake. They brought English artisans/craftsmen to OH to put the buildings together. Almost all stayed and now their children are, in many cases, continuing maintenance of the college.

I’m not questioning whether it’s fake or not, just whether the style is Gothic. Isn’t it more some sort of French Renaissance Blah Blah or whatever?
