Hello everyone.

I'm an international student who study at a community college in GA and think about transfering to a 4 yrs university.
However, paying out of state tuition for a university is so expensive and my buget is limited :(

Therefore, I'm looking for universities with:

NO out of state tuition
or
NO out of state tuition WITH scholarship for international students
or
LOW out of state tuition WITH scholarship for international students

Locations:

ANYWHERE in the USA

I also would like to know the living expense for the city where a university is located if it is possible.

I prefer to move out of GA/southern states since I have been here for many years and have difficulties in understanding their "bible belt" theories sometime... :X
However, I would like to know as much infomation of universities all over the USA as possible.
So I can have list to compaire and higher possibility to find the one I like :)

I will continue searching by myself but there are so many universities in this huge country so I would like to get some help...
Please help me if you know anything about this topic!!

Thank you :)

I remember seeing that at least one of the regional Oregon schools have no OOS tuition - it may have been Eastern Oregon? The tuition is very reasonable for everyone. TRy to look at those.
You can probably do a search on the college board website as well with certain cost parameters.
Good luck!

The University of Minnesota - Morris is a public liberal arts college. They do not charge out of state tuition for internationals. Currently they estimate their cost of attendance at $23,000. This includes health insurance, books, room and board, tuition, etc. They do not offer any additional financial aid.

Thanks for the response. I will go and check the school later :) Hopefully the school gives me a good impression!

Second twomules--UM-Morris charges in-state tuition to everyone, regardless of residency. Its small size and isolated location is not for everyone, but it has quite a good academic rep locally. One Minnesotan said that she would only send her D to UM-Twin Cities or Morris because they had the best academics.

online schools usually have only one tuition rate. You could move or not move.

Bemidji State University, also in Minnesota, does not have different tuition rates for out-of-state students. COA for 09-10 is estimated to be about $14,000.
The College Board CollegeMatchmaker finds 257 four-year colleges and universities with out-of-state tuition of $10,000 or less, and 41 with out-of-state tuition of $5,000 or less. You can use that search engine to find programs that might work for you.
