University Advancement Fee

Does anyone know what the University of Advancement Fee of 1,300+ is on our students' account statements?
Thanks!

Yes, they are now combining 13 fees into one. Here is the explanation from the email I received today concerning the Advancement Fee:
THIRTEEN REQUIRED FEES ELIMINATED AND REPLACED WITH UNIVERSITY ADVANCEMENT FEE
Great News!!! Student tuition and fee statements will have a cleaner, simpler, look beginning this fall. Thirteen previously charged required fees will be eliminated including: the Advising Fee, Bursar Fee, Career Center Fee, Computer Access/Instructional Technology Fee, Energy Fee, Environmental Fee, Identification Services Fee, International Education Fee, Library Access Fee, Software Licensing Fee, Student Service Fee, Transportation Fee, and University Writing Fee. A single “University Advancement Fee (UAF)” will be assessed to fund the services previously supported by those individual fees. The UAF will be assessed at the same rate that was approved last spring for the thirteen eliminated fees, which included only a nominal total increase of $43.58 per semester. An undergraduate student taking 15 hours this fall will pay $1,326.09 for the UAF, the same amount they would have paid for the thirteen fees that were eliminated.
