University at Albany - nanoscale

My chem teacher is trying to get us into nanotechnology, and that it's going to be the "next big thing" He told us that Albany has one of the first majors for this, and I was wondering how this program is? (especially since its new (?) )

Albany is great for nano, but it is less impressive elsewhere. I’m in high school, so take this with a grain of salt, but I’ve heard that nanotech is a better field for graduate study and that doing your undergrad in something more general is a better idea.

The program in Albany is a cooperative program between education, business and government. Many believe that in large part the areas future is linked to this coopertive. I think your Chemistry teacher is giving you great advise. If you are able to gain admission as an undergraduate, you should give this serious consideration. To find out more about the program, I’d suggest contacting the University and speaking with professors and students. Albany is great for nano, but is impressive in other areas as well…
