I just received my acceptance letter today for the class of 2019. I am extremely excited as UB is one of my top choices. I also received the provost scholarship. Here are my stats:
SAT:2090 (Superscored)
CR:730
M:680
W:680
SAT Subject Tests
Literature:720
Physics: 640
Math II: 680
If you have received your letter, post here. Hopefully I will be attending UB in the fall!
I’m out of state as well and I just got accepted into the early assurance pharmacy program with a scholarship of $7,500 yearly.
ACT: 26
GPA: 3.6 uw, 3.914 w
In a ton of clubs and all with 3 years of marching band under my belt
I’m just curious, but what did you pick as your major?
Hey! I got accepted into University at Buffalo yesterday! I had a 26 ACT, 3.7 weighed GPA, interesting background, good recommendation letters, work experience, and some extracurriculars !
I am highly considering this college but I will have to find transportation if I do decide on here! I live 4 hours away and currently have no car
@zheng115 My acceptance letter did not specify my major, but I indicated biochemistry at the time I applied. Congratulations @MusicalAsian7 @engineering2015 and @zheng115 on your acceptances!
@bedfordchild thank you, congrats to you too!
@austinmshauri thank you! @zheng115 Idk who you were asking, but I applied to undeclared engineering. Are you far away from buffalo as an out of stater?
My daughter got the Provost with her acceptance letter last week. Your GPA is good but I believe your ACT of 26 is too low for the Provost award. I think all the merit aid awards were included in the acceptance letters because a few of my daughters friends got smaller merit awards that a companied their acceptance letters.
@engineering2015 ahaha I was asking in general for anyone. Yeah, I am pretty far away from buffalo since I’m in NJ so I don’t know what college to pick anymore.
@sleepysapien did you apply before December 1? I think UBuffalo had a merit scholarship deadline on December 1 but I could be wrong.
My son got his letter last week. He got in with a $7500 yearly scholarship. His major is computer engineering.
Stats:
SAT CR: 590 M: 690
GPA: 3.63 UW, 4.2 W
He has only one AP (Calc AB) but the rest honors and PLTW
OK ecs but has work experience as an intern at an engineering firm
We’re OOS from the mid-Atlantic, so Buffalo is pretty far away for us.
My son was accepted a couple of weeks ago–Electrical Engineering major with a $5k/year Provost scholarship. (We are instate). I assume he is in Honors as well although official notification has not come yet. Does anyone have any idea when Honors notifications come out?
Anyway, he is THRILLED! Buffalo is his absolute first choice. I am struggling a bit with how far we are from the school but am happy with the opportunities I believe he will have there and with the affordable price tag! Good luck to all still waiting to hear
I was accepted into the early assurance pharmacy program!
34 ACT
2290 single sitting SAT (2300 super score)
1530 CR+M
4.41/4 GPA
All honors and AP classes, 5 on English and US History AP’s
Soccer and indoor track (captain), band, school newspaper editor, NHS
SWE certificate of merit
I am in state, and received a Provost Scholarship. Congratulations to all who were accepted!

Taking 4 AP’s this year (BAD decision), so a pretty rigorous schedule.
I don’t think I got the provost scholarship, but I got into the honors college.
im instate
SAT: 2110 (super score)
CR+ M: 1400

my question is, does the honors college acceptance letter take the place of a regular one??
Currently taking AP Gov, AP Calc AB, and AP Environmental.
ECs: School Newspaper, Math, Science, National, and LOTE Honor Society, Science Olympiads, and Lots of Church Stuff.
Got the Provost Scholarship for $5k/year.
By the way, how many applicants are there for the Engineering School? How many are there for UB in general? Also, how many credits are needed for four years at UB, and how do my AP credits count towards the UB credit requirements?
Got an acceptance letter in the mail today via regular admissions I’m a instate student 3.5 gpa, 1660 SAT (580 CR, 550 Writing, 530 Math) unfortunally didn’t get a scholarship but I applied pretty late (around mid/late-Janurary)
