It looks like it depends how you view your bills.

If you select "Billing and Payment" from the Current Students section, and sign in, you'll come upon multiple ways to view your current bills.

"View Options" has two ways, "View Your Statement", or "View Your Account Activity"
Selecting "FALL AUG 21 DUE SEPT 20" from the former will bring up

"Hsg Contract Charge-Pay in Full: $8211" with the amount under charges
and
"UG HOUSING E-CHECK PREPAYMENT: $500" with the amount under Payments/Credits
showing the "amount due" as the amount the housing contract shows us to expect for single or double initial payment, $7711 (under the annual plan).

Meanwhile, "View Your Account Activity" doesn't make as clear the deduction. $8211 is charged (under annual plan) for the "Hsg Contract Charge-Pay in Full". $500 is also indicated for the Housing PrePayment we already made, but isn't as clear as the earlier format that we're realy only paying the standard initial payment.

The third option, just to confuse even more, shown under "Payment options with E-Check" with the "Details" link, does the deduction of the $500 prepayment from "Hsg Contract Charge-Pay in Full" for us, indicating the amount we owe as $7700 (under the annual plan [where the $11 went, who knows...])

Basically, as said earlier, none of this indicates whether we have a Single, Double, or makeshift Triple yet (you can tell if you have a Ratesaver); the amount for the single won't be charged until the next payment (for monthly or quarterly) or in late october (for the annual plan)

EDIT: The $100 difference with "Education Fee" comes from this exact same issue of different formats shown. The 2nd "View Your Account Activity" option shows $1802 charged with $100 payment done from our SIR, while the 3rd "Details" option shows the deduction done for us at $1702.
