UCL vs. NYU
Economics Program
A friend is having troube deciding which one to attend? Please keep in mind prestige, curriculum, face value... thanks

lol what a dilemma

it'll be easier to get into an ibank if he went to UCL, if that's his main concern

I'd say it depends on where he wants to work. For working in the US go for NYU. For working in Europe go for UCL.

apparently ur from new york, so if ur friend is from new york and wants to work in new york, i would say NYU is better, but expensive cuz they suck with financial aid if u need it.

Which NYU college is it? If it's the College of Arts and Sciences, then UCL is far better. If on the other hand the college is Stern, UCL is about as prestigious as NYU.

So prestige: I'd say UCL on the whole is more well known, but NYU Stern is also considered one of America's top business schools. Overall, UCL >>> NYU CAS and UCl > NYU Stern.

Curriculum: obviously, UCL is an English university, so students in the economics programme do three years of economics ONLY. NYU students will be able to follow a liberal arts programme (even in Stern, I think).

Also take into consideration UCL is 3 years whereas NYU is 4. If the student is from America, I think they'll be costing around the same, as UCL has no financial aid.

That is tough one. I would personally rank themat the same level.

NYU Stern = UCL
UCL > NYU CAS
