Did anyone get the Email about University computers, and getting your laptop through them. They claimed to have good deals but when i carefully examined the prices they seemed to be the same prices that you can get anywhere. I know it’s early but is anyone thinking of using them. For sheer convenience I might use them, only so they could fix my computer if it ever brakes down.

Yeah, if you ask me, all those prices look overinflated. I'll probably be looking for a good deal at Best Buy or Circuit City.

-The Overinflated Coot66

i got my mac from there, $300 off

even if u didn't get your computer from there, they'll fix yours for free if u ever have a problem.

It's good to have them around. If you get a Mac, there's another repair place which is a little cheaper and a little faster out near Super 88 (other end of school).

As for prices, no one will be able to beat any educational discounts you get from a manufacturer. University Computers can pass those on, but they make money by putting together bundles.

A suggestion: buy replacement cost insurance. NSSI sells inexpensive policies for students. They do pay; paid for a broken screen replacement with a $25 deductible.
