<p>Just something to be aware of and discuss with your kids. Click on your state then check out both the maps for the city as well as the campus.</p>
<p>If it doesn't include tens of thousands of the unreported rapes, sexual assaults, assaults, batteries, and property destruction episodes committed by student felons and miscreants on their fellow students each year (putting aside the mass murders of students by students), it won't turn out to be very useful, will it?</p>

<p>Some colleges don't show much but some have the details of every incidence the campus cops write up. You can look at it as there's a lot of crime or you can see the campus guys are doing their job well from stolen cell phones to pervs at the bus stop.</p>
<p>It isn't a start. It is misleading, and will give you a false impression of a student's safety or lack thereof.</p>

<p>Nice find. USC shows a variety of stuff, whereas Duke is ostensibly crime free (Hmmmm... would Mike Nifong's criminal contempt of court sentence show up on the map)?</p>
