<p>I got the invite to the University DAY Reception today.. But no letter yet.. The invite is a two folded postcard, so maybe it traveled faster then a letter or package would?</p>

I mean its in less than two weeks so we kind of need to plan for it soon, I just dont want to do all this then get a rejection!!! <p>Everyone I have heard that got in via GPS got their letters several weeks ago. Everyone including admissions people seem to be saying (without saying the actual words) that this invite means you are in. Letters are being mailed tomorrow and Wednesday to arrive by Friday. Clearly NYU knows that many will have many travel plans to make and is trying to get you to book your plans for them before you here from everyone else. As others have said it would be unbelievably cruel to send this 2 days before a rejection was coming. Rest easy and congratulations.</p>
<p>Has anyone in the midwest gotten one that applied to Tisch? I'm way out in Kansas (make a dorothy joke and I kill you). Oh damn I should have done more homework.

<p>yeah English- unless your university day invite says for GSP, then you got invited for whatever school you applied to. I got in via GSP and I was notified back in Feb.</p>

<p>upsided, University Day is April 10th. At least for CAS, I don't know if it's different for the other NYU colleges.</p>

<p>i got an invite too!!! i was soooo relieved, but kindof confused as to why they would send it before... it seems like they should have just sent the acceptance letters early if they were concerned about travel arrangements.</p>
<p>anyways, i really needed the good news. i got deferred EA from georgetown, rejected Northwestern and UNC Chapel Hill, waitlisted Wash U. and hopefully in NYU!! I still have to hear from Cornell, Brown, UPenn, Georgetown, Tufts, GWU, and Emory!!!!</p>
