Hi guys,
I am international student and I applied for 6 universities this year. Till now, I got 5 which is 4 accepted and 1 defer. However, I’m pretty sure that I will get in the last one also. My major in B.S Information Science & Technology but I am confusing which school to choose between: Temple University-PA, Drexel University-PA, Mercer University-GA, Illinois College-IL, University of Cincinnati-OH, University of Minnesota Twin Cities-MN (getting deferal). Can you guys give me some advice on which school I should choose? I would be grateful if you guys can include reason as well. Thank you!!!
No one can advise you based on the very limited information you’ve provided. Some things that can help you make a decision include:
- is there a significant cost difference between them for you
- do you prefer big cities or smaller towns
- what size university do you prefer
- is weather an important factor
@SJ2727 hi, sorry for missing those information. In those 6 I listed above, I’m not sure of UMN but it is my first choice and I will enroll if I get admit. I applied financial aid for drexel and I will get in if only they provide me financial package as I requested. Those 4 left are all meet my family finance after I subtract scholarship. I prefer somewhere “active” and from middle size and above. I don’t mind about weather also. Hope you can help me. Thanks!!!
Small thing I recently learned - Is many non native speakers have a problem with certain words that are both singular and plural. One of these words they referenced was “advice”. There is no plural and no need to add the “s”. One piece of advice or ten pieces of advice is simply advice.
It could be a typo but I just saw this on a video.
As far as schools. UM TC if you get in during RD that would be my choice. Drexel Temple are peers. Both good schools.
@privatebanker sorry for making you confused because my English is good.
What about the University of Cincinnati? I did ask some people but they said the career is not as good as the University of Cincinnati?
It’s an excellent school. All major US universities offer excellent educations and have accomplished professors.
I am sure you can return home, with that major, and find a job in your country with a US degree.
You can’t plan on staying in the US after you finish your schooling.
I don’t mean plan to stay in the U.S after I finish schooling. I mean I see the university of Cincinnati has a co-op program which will help me in my career. But I don’t see temple have it so I don’t know if the temple university is as good as UC.
