The University of Central Florida has deferred their decision until they receive final transcripts from my community college, however that won't happen until May which is when I graduate and I will need to attend the summer semester in order to attend full time in Fall.

So I figure, they won't have my transcripts ready till the second week of May, then another two weeks to have them processed, mailed and recieved. By then we're in the middle of the Summer semester and pretty much all hope is lost.

So my post is a plea for help from anyone who possibly had the same thing happen to them and how they overcame it.

One of my safeties has me on “pending admit” status. Which is to say, I’m admitted, but they won’t do transcript evaluation, housing applications, etc. until they have a transcript from me that shows no in-progress classes.

It’s rather annoying, but there’s not much to be done.

Can you clarify what you mean when you say that you “…will need to attend the summer semester in order to attend full time in Fall”? I’m not familiar with UCF.

Ah, I see. I suspect that where you’re going to get screwed is in registration. By the time you get all of this handled, a lot of classes may be full. I’ve always found this to be more of a problem at four year universities than at community colleges.
