Alright, I have the typical essay prompt of:
"Many students expand their view of the world during their time in college. Such growth often results from encounters between students who have lived different cultural, economic, or academic experiences. With your future growth in mind, describe a potential classmate that you believe you could learn from either within or outside a formal classroom environment."

But my specific question is would it be alright to write this as if it was a Journal entry? I have something like that written. The date I have is December 1st 2007, so obviously in the first semester of my attendance at a university. It seems a little corny, but it let me state differences in opinions and say a little more about myself through the interaction with this person I ran into. If you want to read it to help me (I didn't want to post it here) you can e-mail me at EntstehenPhoenix@gmail.com. Thanks for any and all help!
