<p>Definitely go for it. I applied for it, but I wasn’t surprised when I didn’t get in (only got a 31 on the ACT). It sounds like a really great experience to further your educational career–I mean, how awesome would it be to do research with professors as an undergrad?Not to mention it looks really good on grad school and job resumes.</p>
<p>They actually do not really care about testing scores and grades, they look more at what you do beyond them.</p>

<p>They “say” they don’t care, but since they use stats as an initial qualifier, it’s hard to believe that stats don’t come into play at all.</p>
<p>That said, a student with an ACT 28 who has done some great things, may get accepted. :)</p>
<p>Perhaps once you’re qualified to apply, all they’re looking at is accomplishments. It’s hard to really know.</p>

… I’ve been busy with stuff these past two weeks and I’ve already burnt my heart with essays for another college that is a bigger priority than UA. I could still write the two essays for tomorrow but I’m too lazy now, plus I don’t think my experiences can compete with the others anyway, so yeah, lol. Good luck to those who applied!</p>

<p>Is there no way to be considered for the University Fellows if we don’t send in the app by the fourth? I applied to UA and submitted the scholarship app the week before Thanksgiving… so I haven’t been accepted yet… Anybody know if there are any exceptions?</p>

<p>mike, i think it is notification if finalist by jan 22? then i guess would be interviews? i think the honors program (UHP) is notification within 3 weeks of submission but cbhp is sometime in february?? i may have these dates confused but think i’m right.</p>
