Does anyone have any idea what the stats are for people applying for the university Honor’s program? I know that about15% of incoming freshmen are admitted, but does anyone have anything like Gpa, sat/act scores, etc. that I could compare myself to? Thank you!

both me and my friend got in

friend: 30 ACT/3.9x UW, 4.3x W
me: 2280 SAT/ 3.7x UW, 4.19? W

I got in! SAT:1970
GPA: 3.98UW (not sure weighted, have taken 12 ap classes though)
They might look at other things too such as EC and essay, no idea though. They offered to pay to fly me out to visit too!

Congrats to all of you! I was curious about D not making Honors, but after initial surprise that she wasn’t admitted to honors, D doesn’t seem too concerned so will let it drop. She has 2120 SATs, 3.84 UW, Valedictorian of 250 student suburban public school, some APs and college level courses, all honors all four years, great EC, leadership roles, works part-time, some - but not tons - of community service, though. Would have thought she was Honors material, but they may be looking at things we’re not aware of. Was admitted to Honors in several other schools. Will be visiting on Accepted Students Day; will be math major if she goes to AU.

I got in
SAT 2290
GPA 4.51 (always get confused between weighted and unweighted)
Rank: 9/415
President of National Technical Honor Society and DECA
Very involved in community and have worked a job throughout high school and during summers

Future readers should be aware that there are currently discussions of making some changes to the program so that it is quite a bit smaller and requires a separate application.

If these changes come to pass, it will become very difficult to predict chances for admission to next year’s honors program based on this year’s experience.
