I posted this in the U of M forum but I figured I might get some better answers here. I was just wondering if anyone could comment on the quality of Michigan's art and design program? I was accepted into this program and I was wondering if it would provide a good education for someone interested in graphic design.

My son applied there as well. But it is at the bottom of his list because the degree looked like a general one instead of a specialized area, e.g. graphic design, video design, etc. Am wondering where else you applied…

Would that be U.M.A.D?

😄Jk.

I also applied to Northeastern, Boston University, NYU, Syracuse, RIT, and SUNY Purchase and New Paltz. I actually liked U of M’s program because I thought it might be nice to get a lot of different artistic experiences, but now I’m thinking that it would probably be better career-wise to do a program that’s more specific to graphic design.
