University in the US for Fall 2016 - up to 22,000$/year

@happymomof1
Stetson is the only university I’m interested in requiring this so didn’t plan to do any evaluation at all.

  1. I have another question: do you have any university in mind that is similar to the University of California Santa Barbara or Florida Atlantic University in size, campus size and campus life and that’d be within my budget? Though I’m absolutely happy with Southern Utah University I’d be even more happy with a university of that size.
    That’s why I’m still torn between attending a community college in California and doing well there so that I’d get a merit scholarship at a bigger university after two years.
  2. I’ve looked for a few CC’s, could you please tell me about the cost of living there? According to the internet a single room is about 450-600$ a month and for food one should plan about 300$/month. Is that realistic?
    College of the Canyons, Santa Clarita
    MiraCosta College, Oceanside
    Orange Coast College, Costa Mesa
    Santa Barbara City College, most students seem to live in Isla Vista though.
    That way I should spend about 18,000$/year, would be in my no 1 location and in the best case I’d do well and get a high scholarship making it possible to study at a better university like USC. However, I am also aware of the lower chances to get a scholarship for international transfers.
