They will not hate you for being non-LDS. The practicing LDS students will not drink alcohol or caffeinated beverages, and they will participate in a lot of church-related activities. Some will not date non-LDS students. Some of the students will have completed religious mission work outside the US (usually 2 years for men and 1 1/2 years for women). None of us can tell you how this would affect your life as a student. I have non-LDS relatives and friends who live in Utah and love it there. They do a lot of skiing in the winter and hiking in the national parks in the summer.
