University of Alabama Admission Decision

@psssthoy My son received an email from Alabama in late May or early June requesting he go ahead and send his transcript to UA. He had previously sent his ACT scores as well. So when he applied, UA already had all of his required documents. That may be true for others too and a reason for why some acceptances are coming so quickly.

@brentwoodmom It was a pain asking for high school to send transcript since it was not their “usual procedure”. But it was done and UA received it on Monday.

My daughter was accepted today! She applied back on 7/6, but we’ve been waiting for her transcript to be sent (staffing changes at her high school). They finally received it Friday and her status was updated today.

Congrats to all admitted

UA just sent an email saying son’s app is complete and that a decision would be coming in 24-48 hours. Crossing fingers and praying.

excited to hear the news!!

They are very quick. My daughter applied on 7/3. But the transcript didn’t get there until 7/20. But she was accepted on 7/22. Which is really weird, because that’s a Sunday.

Correction, she was accepted on 7/21.

Now that son is admitted, let’s get to the important stuff: how do we get football tickets?

@psssthoy, start by reading through this (for students starting next month) and assume it will be the same next year… All incoming freshmen will be eligible for the New Student Package.
