University of Alabama Fashion Merchandising Review - Need Help

I’m going to be transferring to either LSU or the University of Alabama this fall. I have a little less than two weeks to decide and I know barely anything about the University of Alabama’s Fashion Merchandising program. Is it better than LSU’s Merchandising program? I want to be a buyer after college so which one would benefit me the most? Also, if you know anything about both schools graduate programs relating to fashion or merchandising, I’d love to hear your opinions and knowledge. Anything helps because I am beyond conflicted between these two schools.

@MorganKHawkins, I’m sorry, I can’t think of any Fashion Merchandising majors here on CC off the top of my head. I will go back and do a quick search to see if I can unearth anybody. In the meanwhile, FWIW, here’s a list of the top 10 schools in the South for fashion merchandising. I know nothing about this site, but the descriptions may be helpful.

Where do you live? Cost would be a key factor if my student were transferring in. Are you in-state for Alabama or LSU? If you’re in-state for Alabama, have you considered Auburn?

Presumably you already know all this, but here’s information on UA’s program:

And here’s LSU’s: http://lsu.edu/majors/agriculture/textiles-apparel-merchandising.php

I’m from Texas and money isn’t a problem. My grandparents both died in the last year and left enough money to put my sister and I through college (including grad school). I plan to go to one of the two and get my masters from there as well but I just don’t know what’s best for me. Thank you for your help!

This is another thread that might be useful.
