I just wanted to let everyone know that Univ of Alabama has now added a BFA in Musical Theatre! I’m excited for this because we have a scholarship available there, and my daughter was dragging her feet about it because it was only a BA. (I’m working on overcoming her prejudices in this arena!) Just in case anyone else has been overlooking it for the same reason, I wanted to share.
The BA program was already well regarded, and it just jumped up on our list with this addition!

Yes, the one in Tuscaloosa. In addition to the BFA, MT concentration, they also are adding a BFA with an Acting Concentration and BFA in Design and Technical Production. They have a brand-new Performing Arts Academic Center being built as well. The renderings look pretty amazing. I don’t know much about the program itself, though.
