Hi there!
I’m a senior in an American High School. I am a part of the IB Diploma Program. So I was wondering whether I needed to send ACT or SAT scores as it didn’t specify for IB candidates to do so. I haven’t sent my scores in yet, is it too late if I do? If I send my scores by today, would UBC look at my application?
At some point since submitting your application, you probably received an email from the admissions counselor assigned to your region. I don’t know the answer, and it doesn’t seem like anyone else does, so I would suggest emailing this person to ask.
You can submit documents until the 15th of March. I don’t think their average test scores are higher than like 1300 or 28, so you could also just send them if they’re good.
Thanks! I got a 30 on my ACT and sent my scores to them. My only worry is that I don’t know if I should have sent it by the application deadline or by March 15th. Is March 15th the deadline for all documents, and does it also include the ACT score?
I got in with 1410 new sat if that helps. Decent ECs and a good gpa.
My main worry is the due date by when I had to send the scores. Is it March 15th or was it the same day as the application deadline?
Most Canadian School accept IB program total or regular GPA but the later must have SAT or ACT from US applicants. IB total can be used as stand alone to get into many Canadian and other international schools. IB is a reasonably decent recognized international standard… but it is not as common/useful in the US that prefers AP standards.
You can submit both sets of scores and they will typically admit you on what they perceive as the stronger set. If your picture improves, keep sending them updates because they have rolling admissions.
Thank you so much! That helps!
@nnlexiegrey1999: When in doubt, call admissions. They have the ability to actually look at your file and give you a better idea of where you are in the process.
