get in UCI’s campuswide honors program (safety school)
get invited to UCSB’s high-achiever’s reception (I think it is 99% accepted even though decision does not come out until Mar 21st)
I think my chances are 75% UCSD, 50% UCB and UCLA, 10% CalTech …

we will see how everything plays out on March 24th

Hey! Sorry guys, quick question. If you put on your UC application that you’re taking an AP test, but then you decided now that you can’t pay for all of them and decide not to take one, do you have to notify colleges?

azndarkvader if thats how you spell it im going to rohp for cal! it definitely means your guaranteed admission because i got an email from UCB that started with congratulations on being accepted into Berkeley. it made me so happy =)

@azn and rahuja: technically you’re not accepted, but considering regents finalist=top 1.5% of applicants, it’s probably safe to say you’re in.

I am doing ROHP next week too.

Since I got regents for Cal and UCLA I am probably in there.
Also since I’m ELC I was an automatic admit to Davis (and regents), into UCSB (regents). Waiting on UCSD but I would pick Cal or UCLA over it haha.

well the guy who emailed me who is suppose to answer any regents question said i was in lol. lemme quote him: “Usually when you ask the question, “does this mean I’m admitted”, I’m supposed to pussyfoot around and say something about how the admissions office didn’t tell me anything about your status etc. but I’m getting too old for that crap: you are indeed in at Berkeley. Congrats! When you come to your interview, there will literally be like 5 people who all think they’re telling you you got in for the first time, it’s pretty funny actually. But remember, they’re all wrong: I was the first person to tell you! ;)”

hello there! i just went to the ROHP thing at Cal and the first thing they tell you about is that you’re in to the school! they were so excited to tell us! the entire night is dedicated to them trying to convince us to go th Berkeley… it’s really quite flattering. hahah :)

and this isn’t trying to be mean or anything; i really don’t know why they chose me, cause i’m more of a social person and all of the other people at the overnighter were really… smart. like 3/4 were EECS majors and had done incredible things, whereas i’m just a good student, so yeahh.

but i have a calendar countdown to when results come out from everywhere, i’m soooo excited! :)

visited UCI today on campuswide honors program, I think the campus is nice, the dorm is nice, the computer science guy is nice, the computer science program is nice … I don’t mind going there …

wadawada you have made me so excited for the ROHP thing now haha. and yeah in my email the person also told me that I was in and asked if I had questions so I’m confident haha

not that im complaining, but i find it interesting that I got regents for Berkeley, but not for the other UC’s I applied to like Davis, UCSD, and LA. is anyone else in a similar situation? I like Berkeley the best so its no problem, but i just found it interesting.
