University of California Irvine?

I live in IL, I haven't been accepted to the UCI. But if I do get in, is it worthwhile moving all the way to CA from IL?
I know UCI is expansive specially for the out of state students, but I think I will get some grants which will help a little.
On the other hand, I may have a chance to go to Boston University for Econ major. Is BU better than UCI academically or socially?

uci would be socially better if u are asian...also i checked out the campus and the girls are pretty hot there...but i dunno anything about Boston U...except that i believe its rated below uci

I go to UCI so I might be able to give you some pointers. I know very little about BU though. So UCI is in an affluent community, about 7 min drive from Newport Beach. Alot of students that live on campus go home on the weekend, but there are always things going on ... its not like it is dead or anything. The campus is HUGE. The whole "asian" thing really depends on what your major is. I am a criminology, Law and society major, so my classes are not near engineering and science (sorry if it sounds like a stereotype, but that is actually how it is). I don't really know what else to say, but feel free to PM me or something if you have anymore questions.

bumppppppppppppppppppppp

at UCI your 10 minutes from the best beaches, 45 from LA, 45 from San Diego. An hour and 30 to Palm Springs, what more could u want hehe

UCI needs more asians.

I just saw this: number of applications fall 2006
<a href="http://www.ucop.edu/news/factsheets/2006/fall+2006+app_table+3.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://www.ucop.edu/news/factsheets/2006/fall+2006+app_table+3.pdf</a></p>

13% increase in freshman applicants
3% decrease in transfer applicants
