<p>I just heard that all the UC's now compare applicants to other applicants in their geographical region instead of their fellow high school students. After hearing this I looked around and found the UCSB still compares applicants to fellow students. Does anyone know what other UC's do this? Where do I find this info.?</p>
<p>Not sure what you are talking about. Conceptually, method of evaluation remains the same. What has changed is rules for elegibility in the statewide and local context which determine whether you can be admitted to “a” UC though not necessarily one of your choice. New rules are designed to admit what the UCs determine to be the top 9% of high school students in Cal (statewide context) and top 9% of each high school (local context). <p>Yes, SB has historically compared every applicant from the same HS. But just bcos they did last year, doesn’t mean that they will continue.</p>
