University of California, Santa Cruz? (+ other UC's and CSU's)

Hey everyone!

I finished all my CSU's and UC applications. (Thanks to all the help in the past btw!) In addition, I got a lot of guidance from my college counselors and even some help from people from UCLA and UCI for my prompts.

I'm in love with UC Santa Cruz. Just the campus alone wins it for me. I applied for sociology as my first and community studies as second.

This is my info:

California High School Student

3.7 UC GPA, 10 AP Classes in total
1500+ hours of community service hours
Volunteer Mentor / Volunteer Educator at the zoo and aquarium here in LA
24 ACT / my SAT was not strong so I'm not going to post it up for people to shame me
2 official awards of achievement for community service from the White House - Gold Level
1 award from the House of Representatives for a national poetry contest (it spoke about how the sea ports developing in our world today)- 1st Place
5 Leadership Positions on campus ( Key Club, French Club, California Scholarship Federation, etc) all which I have been in since Freshman Year
Co-founded the first cultural club of its kind on campus

Other things:
First generation, first person in my family to go to college
2 Part-Time Jobs

Demonstrated Interest: I visited the campus and I participated in their online chats they had with the admission officers. Signed up for their newsletters. I have emailed outreach offices multiple times with questions.

Side Note: I have a lot of experience in working with sea animals... People often comment why I don't major in Marine Bio and why I want major in Sociology. First off, Psychology is a very competitive major at UCSC. Although I was involved with sea animals and marine experts at my fingertips, I love working with people. Working at local attractions that attract so many diverse kinds of people really exposed me to all kinds of individuals. So I thought sociology would be the best fit for me.

SO...

What are my chances for UCSC?

(Also applied for UCD, UCI, and Cal - I realize those are out of my reach, so for the rude moms out their trying to show off their kids stats to me, please don't shame me for trying, ok?)

I also applied to SFSU, Cal Poly Pomona, CSUMB, Chico (already accepted), and CSULB (pretty much already accepted because I'm local and they lowered the index score for us).

Please only honest opinions! Realistically, I know I'm not the worst candidate out there. People get into UCSC with 1400 SAT scores and 3.3-3.5 GPA's... and it's right on their common data sets. I just want your honest opinion about my chances, basically.

Thanks!

Common datasets use unweighted GPA, so what is yours?
UCSC is a Match/High Match. You are below the average UC GPA of 3.82 and SAT of 26, but you are smart in applying for Sociology vs. Psych, so I think you have a good chance.

UCI: High Match
UCD: Low Reach/High Match
UCB: Reach
CSULB/CPP: Match
SFSU/CSUSM/Chico: Safety

@Gumbymom‌ typo on my fault. my UC GPA is for sure 3.7, Weighted is 3.79, Unweighted 3.65. I’m not be exact but it’s closely enough to what I should have. I don’t have a transcript with me on hand.

Like @gumbymom said, you’re slightly below their average, but your GPA and course rigor should help you. I’d say it’s a high match/match for you.

Chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1714536-what-are-my-chances-cmu-emory-northwestern-usc-and-georgia-tech.html#latest

thanks everyone! anyone else with feedback?
