University of Chicago Chances

So, up until my senior year, I was ranked 7th in my class of 905 and have a weighted GPA of about 4.5
My ACT score is a 33, or a 35 superscored.
I am editor and chief of my paper, VP of youth and government. And I have come first in state in Youth and Government, and 4th in state for Editorial Writing in the statewide newspaper competition. I've also been a member of many different clubs (speech, key club, basketball, track, choir, model UN, etc)
I've gotten all A's, except a B freshman year, and a B plus last year.
But this year, as a senior I took an additional AP class, making 5 of my classes AP.
And I currently have 3 Bs. Worst case scenario, I end up w/ 2 B's and a C. The C being in AP BC calculus. Though my other classes are all high As.

This is largely because of the fact that I was pretty sick first semester, and I have teachers willing to write in about my initial rough start and steady improvement.

I was originally going to apply to schools like University of Chicago and Johns Hopkins and Washington U @ St Louis.

Do you think my odds are still decent at these schools? Or will my senior grades completely wrtie me off?

Any advice or guess would be really appreciated.

Thank you!

You have decent stats, but Chicago is really interesting in their students being unique/diverse. If you have great essays, I think you’ll do fine. What volunteering have you done? Chance back?
