UChicago = bookish nerds
WashU = cool nerds

I'm sure he would live, in wellston. What makes you think you're so special that people yes even poor, "ghetto", peoplewould take such a big risk to kill you? Do you think every suburban white person in the " 'hood " gets killed? As a matter of fact when was the last time it happened? And if it did how soon would the whole police force and news media be there?

To the OP,
amptron2x's reply is the best so far.

Alot of them do, happens all the time. Media isn't going to report anything about white people getting killed in the ghetto, are you retarded? The city will lose even more money if they showed that. Now if it's a black guy in the county who gets mirked, yeah then that would be on the news with the naacp.

Oh and plus there isn't a big risk in killing people in Wellston. You might be alright if they people in the area think you're picking up some drugs though. I know people who live around these areas; I've been around these areas. Drop of some hot WashU girls couple miles north, lets see what happens.

How can you be so ill-informed? let's look at the statistics shall we?
http://www.idcide.com/citydata/mo/wellston.htm

That's 1 murder and 1 rape in wellston for all of 2003, yes it has high crime, but I believe you're exaggerating a bit...well a lot. I apologize for interjecting race into the discussion, its not productive, but being from here I know what is implied by north st. louis and wellstonpoor black areas.

Also, you must not much about washU because there are no hot girls here they're all nerds, lol.

University of Chicago is located in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago, one of the most affluent parts of the city. And, while there are surrounding areas that are poor, the University is not doing much about it....

they both have beautiful campuses, actually, they remind me a lot of each other, wash u is probably in a nicer overall area, the area north of the loop at wash u is a little rough, but its mostly residential, and most students don't really have any need to go there. plus, the loop is an amazing place full of culture and what fun is life if you live completely sheltered?
when I went to hyde park, the neighborhood didn't look that great, but from what i understand, its getting better and the area directly close to the university is nice
personally, I think you would be fine either place

I personally would choose Chicago. I have not been to the Washington campus, but I did used to visit St. Louis yearly and I did not like the city at all. I have family from there and I just did not like the city. There is excellent Chinese food there though.....anyway, I'd pick Chicago and it's probably more higher regarded anyway.
