What do you say?? I will be taking the ACTs this week, and hopefully score a 34 or above. Do you think I should apply EA or just RD with my ACT score?? Do you think I have a shot at all??

wow, >20 views and not a single reply

Please, someone, respond!!

You should apply Early Action. You are very interested in the school, and that is important to them. Make sure that you express that. Yes, you definitely have a good shot. Your background and activities are unusual. You are from an out of the way state. Your scores and grades are good. You show maturity and commitment. The one thing you should express in your application and interview is your reason for wanting to go there. What are your academic interests? Why that particular university? I believe that you are a good candidate and will be admitted. (I graduated from there in the 70's.) Go with the EA. If you are deferred, you can submit the ACT score later, but I don't think that will happen.

anyone else??

Work hard on your essays. The deadline is very soon- like november 1st so you don't have much time. Make sure you work alot on their uncommon essays because they really make a huge difference to your application.

I think you'll get in.
