university of chicago

YEAH I GOT THAT TOO! I’m C/O 2012 though…What is going on!?

wait, did you guys get both the transfer of credit email and the congrats one at the same time?

Seriously? I didn’t get that one. :(

Did anyone notice that the UChicago emails were from some weird address, like c.422x.com? Is this supposed to be normal…?

i know.

i’m not '13, i’m '11 which is why i’m kind of confused :

i got one too… what does this mean???

TransferAccepted got a housing letter, called admissions, and was told that he got accepted.

But I’m not sure that means getting the letter means you’re accepted. Guess we’ll have to wait until Monday (to call). :(

ANYONE not get the housing letter?? and TransferAccepted, is the office stil open? how did you call after hours?

I didnt get the housing letter

wait sorry I meant transfer credit letter… I didnt get the housing letter either.

He called before the admissions office closed, as the emails were sent in the late afternoon.

If you used a school email to apply to UChicago, you should check Spam Quarantine because the emails were not from uchicago.edu (they were from 422x.com) and they might have gotten blocked.

did anyone not get the credit eval letter?

People said that they all got one.

so then most likely the housing app emails were a mistake =

“Admitted students will receive tentative evaluations of transfer credit shortly after they receive their offers of admission. These evaluations are based on transcripts received from all postsecondary schools attended. The admissions office does not give tentative evaluations of transfer credit.”

^This is directly from the website, and I’ve realized that the last sentence is super important…you guys have prob realized it already, but I guess that the transfer of credit evaluations have nothing to do with admissions? even the number we’re supposed to fax this form to is different from the fax number of the admissions office. I guess then this evaluation form means absolutely nothing…unless the admissions office sent a few peoples names (those that were accepted & possibly waitlisters?) to this separate credit evaluation place or whatever
