I am a pretty artsy person so how are the people in Boulder? I am not a big party person and I need some cultured classical listening people around...does that exist?!

Hey! I’m probably going to CU-Boulder as well. I’m not a big party person either, so I understand your concern. However, I’m not incredibly artsy either… but I’m sure there is no shortage of artsy people at CU! I’ve heard that a lot of the people in Boulder are kind of stuck up, wealthy, or big time partiers. But with a college as big as CU in a state as diverse as Colorado, I think you’ll have a wide variety of people there.

Are you in the Honors Program by chance?

Hi! I have heard about the stuck up people too, but like you said it is a big school. I was accepted into the Honors Program Where else are you thinking about going or is Boulder your 1st choice?

Awesome! So am I, but I won’t be living in the Honors dorm because I didn’t get my form in on time =(. Boulder is my first choice, but the University of Minnesota is a very close second.

My family is moving out to Colorado soon, though, so I think I’ll end up at CU in the end.

That’s great! Well I am still deciding on whether to go, but what housing will you be in?

OP, I think you’ll be able to find lots of people who share your interests.

There’s definitely a lot of kids at boulder who live up to the wealthy, stuck up, big partier reputation. But, I have lots of friends there and I’ve met some very cool, down to earth, and intellectual people there. It’s a big school and the population is fairly diverse (well, almost everyone is white, but in terms of interests and lifestyles) so you shouldn’t have a problem.

Plus, gorgeous campus and great academics. I don’t think you can really go wrong there.

Thanks Emily2007! Do you know about housing and specific hall reputations and things like that?
