University of Delaware Class of 2021

Hi everyone! I figure I’d start a Class of 2021 thread, since hopefully we will start hearing about acceptances soon! Good luck everyone!

D was accepted on 11/1. So decisions are being released.

@itsgettingreal17 Congratulations! My S is applying for Business. His application was complete on 11/3. How long did your S have to wait to hear? My D is a Freshman Nursing Major and she loves it at UDel.

11/1 was the start of roling decisions. D submitted app mid October. Pretty quick turn-around.

@itsgettingreal17 Thx. Did he hear by mail or on the portal?

Hi everyone! My S was also accepted 11/1. Portal was updated 11/1, then received big yellow envelope a few days later.

were there financial aid awards with the acceptances?

No. Those come out later.

I was accepted on 11/1 and received my letter in the mail about four days later. I just got my merit award today!

@vs1103 Do you mind saying how much?

How long was it from your application in with all materials in until you got your decision? Son had all in on 11/1. Wondering how long it will be?

@mazza i applied on halloween and they said i will receive a decision in 8 to 14 weeks

For students who have already been accepted, does the portal provide info about their application status? My daughter’s only indicates that all her materials are in. Nothing more. does UD notify change of status on the portal or only via mail? I have seen mixed answers to that question.

They update the portal. Streamers and confetti if admitted and a copy of the acceptance letter, which is also sent via snail mail.

They received all of my required materials on 10/21

They do not send you an email, so you have to check the portal which will say that there is a new status update.

I received the UD Presidential Scholarship with $14,000 per year.

That’s great @vs1103, do you mind sharing your stats.
