My daughter was accepted as a Biological Science Major! So happy for her!
Financial awards page updated. $13k a year.
Anyone know about Distinguished Scholars? I know that’s where they give out the big awards.
@SonOfAbraham I just looked - $13,000 here also. I IM’d someone at admissions - they said distinguished scholar letters go out in January.
@mageecrew Thanks for the info. Keep us posted! (and I will do the same if notified)
Just got my acceptance letter yesterday and it was a reach for me, so for the people that think they might not get into UD with a lower than average GPA and SAT scores, luck might be on your side
What qualifications are necessary for Distinguished Scholars?
@ChemEmother It’s holistic and essentially a lottery scholarship.
Oh ok thanks @itsgettingreal17
Accepted! My portal was updated on the 23rd - I was not checking daily so I did not find out until my acceptance package arrived in the mail today. I was a regular decision, undeclared applicant and all my documents were officially submitted on November 17th.
Good luck to all applicants still waiting for a response!
Accepted! Could someone add me to the groupme?
I got accepted to the biology program with
SAT: 1330
GPA: 4.0
Congrats Hi. What were your scores?
Congrats!@wctobiologist what were your scores!
My son applied, as an out-of-state student, to the honors program in November. Everything was in by November 6th and he still hasn’t heard anything. His portal page hasn’t changed since November. Is it unusual to wait this long? 1450 SAT and 4.0 GPA.
S applied 10/29, accepted 12/20
3.5 W, 1140 SAT
Don’t give up hope!
Thanks! He keeps wondering if he missed something, but it’s all checked off as complete. So, we wait…
Hello guys, so I applied 10/29/16 and got all my materials submitted 12/1/16. I have waited 1 month and 6 days. When do you think I can an acceptance. I am an in-state student BTW.
@EastCoaster13 - We are in the same boat. Son applied 10/28 and application was complete 12/1. We are also in-state. He did not submit test scores though so don’t know if that may be what the hold up is for us (he has a good gpa and extra curriculars but SAT score was slightly below the 1150 cut off they suggest…starting to wonder if he just should have submitted it anyway).
@Jberav Oh lol, weird coincidence. I still have hope mines can come out this month lol (even better before midterms start). Our school uses Naviance and since I am impatient I usually check multiple times a day how many students get accepted into UDand it’s like 40 to 42 to 45 to 47 to 49 over a course of days so I am still hopeful I can be in one of these batches anything. It’s good that you did not a send the score below 1150 because if his GPA is good, it could be misleading. The reading comprehension tests (like 3 or 4 of them) I took in class in high school were nothing compared to the difficulty of the SAT Reading Comprehension Test. I did solid on the SAT so I did send my score in but I still think we should get it around the same time frame.
My son is still waiting. His application was complete 9 weeks ago! But, many kids from his HS who have applied to UD haven’t heard yet. (We are out-of-state).
