University of Delaware Class of 2022

My son applied back in October for mechanical engineering. He received a letter stating that “additional time is needed” to formulate the make-up for the major and the fall of 2018 class on 1/12/18. No additional materials were requested but a notification date was given by March 15th. He’s still waiting to hear one way or another.

How long until after mid year grades are submitted have people heard a decision? My sons submitted them a little over 2 weeks.

@Mcjc626 I submitted mine on on 2/2 and I haven’t heard anything yet. :frowning:

@Mcjc626 we submitted grades on 2/1 and still waiting . We were told March 15

Thanks @abbyrubycookie and @booklover28 I guess there are many of us “march 15”
people waiting

Thursday, day of waiting for the major to disappear. Hope this all ends soon. My son submitted midterm grades almost 2 1\2 weeks ago. Hopefully he make it in this Friday night. It’s his first choice and a reach.

@hockeybuff17 I am with you! Hopefully this is the day.

@hockeybuff17 it seems crazy that UD is a reach but your son was accepted at Penn State UP. Nothing makes sense in this admissions process. Hopefully he gets good news tonight!

Has anyone been assigned a UDID # ? I saw it on the midterm grades request.

@hockeybuff17 Yes all applicants are assigned a UDID. When you log into the application status portal it is the reference number located under the application major.

ETA: I’m wrong. The reference number on the application portal is different from the UDID. My son’s UDID was listed on the letter requesting mid year grades.

@hockeybuff17 There was a UDID on my letter requesting mid-year grades as well. I couldn’t do anything with it though… (I tried) LOL)

Has anybody’s major disappeared today?

Exactly, I think the UD ID # is a positive sign. Major still there, did not disappear yet.

our major still there too . Guess still waiting another week… I have to say not liking the idea of the differential charge now added to tuition for nursing, business and engineering majors. Wonder if this is a way to deter people to go elsewhere, or simply to make more money.

by junior year its a lot more money

The UDID is for identification purposes only during the application process. My son was assigned an ID for each college he applied to that has an application status portal.

Anybody with good news?

@hockeybuff17 No good news yet. :frowning:

I applied back in November (11/19) any chance I’ll hear soon? It’s been about 14 weeks! Anxious to hear!!

Anyone major disappear?

@hockeybuff17 No. Is there still hope for an answer tonight? Thoughts?
