Hello guys, I would really appreciate your help. So UD is my #1 choice school and I am in-state. My GPA is 3.40 weighted which sucks obviously, lol (should have tried harder) and my SAT score is a 1490/1600 with a 22/24 on essays. I know the Provost Scholarship requires a 3.5 GPA at minimum but will it be even possible to get that because my GPA is a 3.40 weighted and my EFC is 20K so I am pretty worried because I want to live on campus and also that I am going to have a lot of debt because of scholarships and all. Thanks, I really appreciate it.
Hey, I know this is really late but I’ve always considered the requirements stated by a college as the minimum you need. There is a very low likelihood that you’ll get that scholarship, but if you write a letter after you get your decision later (given that you didn’t get the Provost scholarship) saying that UD is your #1 school (and you give a lot of valid reasons), they might consider giving you the scholarship. It might also help if you mention, if you know about your other colleges’ acceptances, that you got into better colleges and use it as leverage for UD to give you the scholarship.
