My son got admitted to the undergraduate Computer Science program for Fall 2018. He has been awarded a $23,000 chancellor scholarship. Except, with the tuition being $45,000 per year, it still pretty steep. Any additional financial help he can get? With the undergraduate coursework being so intense, I would rather he not work.
Was there not at least an additional $3K Residence Hall Grant?
Were you expecting any need-based aid? Did you file the FAFSA & CSS Profile (& Noncustodial CSS Profile if applicable) and have them sent to DU? The priority deadline to have these done was Feb. 1 but they will still consider late submissions. If you did file on time, were there any additional documents that needed to be sent but weren’t? (These would typically be your signed 2016 tax return and W-2s - have your son check his PioneerWeb for any missing items marked with a red flag.)
How is the computer science program? Does your son like it? Classes/profs/etc?
