University of Florida 2025 — Regular Decision

I was able to secure a spot for 3/23! Also flying in from NJ – hopefully the tour is worth it!

Are you going this coming weekend (6th, 7th) or the weekend after. we are coming up from Miami this coming weekend

What?!! I guess I lost to you in the competition. Wish you a good trip. It’s good to have a short vacation in the south in the cold season.

We are planning to be there on 3/13. Hopefully one day is good enough. It’s a lot easier for you to come from Miami.

That’s what we did over Thanksgiving break. The place was empty. So we grabbed a map and located the buildings of most importance.

Finished the day at the Museum and live butterfly exhibit. It was very cool.

Have a great trip! My son is waiting on a decision on the 13th that will determine whether UF is in contention. . . I am hoping to have an excuse to go down there and look around - looks like a great place. My husband interviewed at Shands years ago and loved Gainesville!

Thank you. We are expecting a decision on 3/13 too
Good luck to you!

There is a self guided tour map on the website, and you can pick up a good, detailed map in the union welcome center. We did that on Sunday. They told us the self guided tour covers everything an in person tour covers. We walked the core of the campus for an hour, had lunch in the union, and then drove around all reaches of the campus for about an hour.

@kdzmom, we are flying in on 11th and planning to do a self guided tour on 12th. How is the parking there? Were you able to walk around in the University? My daughter printed out the actual campus map and high lighted the departments and buildings that she wants to go see, apart from the self guided tour. Do you think she will be able to do that? Thanks!

Great information! Thank you. It’s good that the welcome center opens in weekends. We will be there on Saturday. We will also check around the town.

Omg NO question, go to Michigan or Ga Tech. Zero question at all.

@Momof0ne We parked next to the union (737 Reitz Union Dr), plenty of parking, free on Sunday. We were able to go into the Union and talk to the young woman working the welcome desk, where we got our map. We then walked all around the core part of the campus, but couldn’t go inside any buildings other than the union (We did peek through a few doors and windows). We had lunch at the union, used the restrooms, grabbed our car and then drove around (and around) every road on the campus until we saw everything—even the new baseball stadium, that’s so new it isn’t on the map. Including lunch, we spent about 3 hours on campus, and felt like we got a good look at the place.

Word on the street from my D and her friends is that many freshman from South Florida are not going to live in the dorms for the Fall. So if you are from out of state and want to find out more information I would check out the Facebook page for the Class of 2025. I know many kids are looking for roommates.

Maybe PACE and Innovation students?

No regular kids too, my D is a brick and mortar student. She wants to live with a Pace friend from camp. Plus bc of the strict Covid rules from this year I agree. The dorms were a little bit like jail

Did anybody get the housing agreement the website said was coming yesterday?
" March 2, 2021: UF Housing information email" as per the website.

Let me know, thanks!

i did not

on twitter UF housing said they were having technical difficulties but would send this morning.
