University of Florida "Academic Courses"

<p>Hello,</p>

<p>On the UF website they give a Freshman Profile on the average admitted student. One of the charts gives the admission rates by schedule strength, measured by number of "Academic Courses". Are "Academic Courses" the four core subjects (Math, Science, Reading, Social Studies), or do they count foreign languages too? Can courses taken in Middle School at the High School level (Geometry Honors, Algebra 1 Honors, Spanish 1) be counted as academic courses? Would those courses factor into GPA? </p>
