Its boils down to whether or not you want to be in IA, with the innovation minor, and one of the 30 available majors, and attend classes Spring and Summer, leaving fall semesters open for internships (which IA actively helps you find)

Or
If you want to be a traditional Fall/Spring student.

Just figure it out, because you can’t just hop out of IA back into the traditional schedule. Doesn’t work that way, since there are a set number of spaces for admission into each program.

And the application this year is very clear what you are applying for. It makes you select individually if you want to apply for IA, traditional, or both. And if you DO check the IA box, ANOTHER popup comes up verifying that you meant to check the box and consider spring/summer enrollment.
It’s not something that you can do accidentally this time around.
IA has only had one round of students, as the first class entered Spring 2013, so this time around, they are very carefully to ensure that students who select to be considered for admission into IA realize that the schedule involves spring/summer and once admitted to IA, you don’t just hop out of it and into the Fall/Spring section of students.

Carrying a full load during the summer is also very difficult - - IA is great in that they really help with tracking (and because the eligibility of taking classes is restricted, they give a priority in spring to certain critical tracking courses). You can still take courses during fall, just online (and not eligible for Bright Futures during the fall off semester).
