Is the online bachelor’s for computer science at UF a good choice since it is not CAC registered? So far, I have only found Regis University to offer this degree 100% online AND CAC registered. Unfortunately, they have a bad reputation from students for lack of motivation from the professors and the way the program is structured. From my research it seems CAC registration is becoming more important when applying for jobs after graduation. I don’t want to end up $40,000 in debt with a worthless piece of paper. Any advice or recommendations for where I can obtain a bachelor’s in computer science with a university that’s CAC registered and 100% online?
By “CAC registered”, do you mean accredited by ABET CAC under these criteria?

ABET accreditation for CS does mean that a CS major program meets a decent minimum standard of quality (as opposed to a very inadequate program or an IT/MIS program claiming to be a “CS” program). However, there are many CS major programs which are not ABET accredited but are still good. ABET accreditation may be specifically relevant if you want to take the patent exam.
Note that one of the criteria for ABET accreditation for CS is 6 semester credits of natural science (suitable for science or engineering majors) other than CS. Since many CS major programs do not have such a requirement, they would not meet this criterion for ABET accreditation.
