Hi I am from illinois and my dream school is university of florida. I was wondering how difficult it is to receive the out of state scholarships and get admitted. Has anyone received one, and if so what were your scores/GPA, etc.? Thanks so much!!!!

Please can someone help!!!:)

My understanding is you are automatically entered into a pool if you are from out of state. I was lucky enough to have received one. Weighted GPA 4.2, SAT 2120, ACT 34. Sorry couldnt tell you the how hard it is to get one…but maybe the school can offer some stats.

Ok thank you! The school said at least a 29 on ACT and right now I have around that and I’m hoping for a 30. I just don’t know if there is any chance that I would get one. I have a good Gpa and extra curriculars, but my standardized test scores are the part that’s killing me! Lol I just really want to go there but don’t know if I should consider it as an option since the only way I could go would be if I get a scholarship.

Good luck…let us know how it works out. What state are you coming from?

Thanks I will! And illinois lol

Bump anyone?

Bump 10 char

Info on UF Scholarships, including OOS Scholarships:

[University of Florida - Admissions](Scholarships | UF Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships)

UF, as a rule, doesn’t give out much in merit scholarships, and that’s why you’re not getting much in a way of responses on this thread (that, and a lot of OOS students with scholarships are not on CC…of course). :(

If looking at College Navigator, or someother resource, take into account that almost all of the Florida residents are getting Bright Futures…so that’ inflating some of the numbers.

Good Luck!

Yeaah your totally right! Lol thanks:)

D received GatorNation scholarship ($10,000 per semester). SAT 2170, ACT 34,
gpa 4.45.

Oh wow! Thank you! She had amazing stats though, im debating even applying to uf cuz I dont think I have a chance at scholarships

You should apply–UF has one of the cheapest college application fees out there and you don’t have to do a separate scholarship application. If you don’t apply, you will always wonder if you would have gotten something. Good luck!

Ya your right! Thanks:)

I’d dream of going to UF at a decent price, however my ACT is too low. I’m studying away just to have a shot at getting in! I wish they offered a scolarship for community service, I have 750 hours!!! Good luck!!

Lol I totally agreeee! I wana go there so badddly
