<p>my overall Weighted GPA is 4.03 and idk what my unweighted gpa is<br>
my rank is 77 out of 690 students</p>

<p>extracurricular activities:
-urban surf 4 kids club : where we take foster kids to go out and do water sports activity. treasurer last year and vice president this year
-i'm in Link crew: a club to help out the school
-been on the school dance team since sophomore year
-volunteer at the animal care facility
-have about 125 hours of community service and my goal is around 250-300 hours
-National Honors Society
-Track and Field junior year</p>

<p>im taking the ACT of September and October and i was wondering what scores i should get in order to be in the "safe" zone. Also do i even have a chance to get in? do they look at weighted GPA or unweighted? </p>

<p>Just shooting from the hip as a UF alum and one who attended an information session on admission at UF a few months back with my son who will be a high school senior this fall. My understanding is the ACT range for UF students is typically 28-32 composite. You MUST take the ACT with writing or they will not consider your score. Your C’s in AP Literature concern me a bit, so I would shoot for the high end of the ACT range. They told us that typically UF freshman who score on the low end of the scale have a specific talent they need at the university like an elite athlete, artist, dancer, etc. On the tour, they couldn’t emphasize enough the November 1st deadline. Very few applicants are accepted after the deadline. There is an essay on the application, so I would make certain to write one that shows your voice and who you are as an individual. I’m not sure if you’d consider it, but I know for sure that Stetson University here in Florida has a very active surf club. I noticed surfing under your ec’s and you might enjoy it! <p>@Tbosmom thankyou so much! Yeaaah the C in aplit made me cry so much. But honestly, the teacher i had was one of those teacher who is a harsh grader but a great teacher. She didnt give out a single A for both semesters! </p>

<p>Since they are looking to increase geographic diversity of the famous, that should help you. Increase your test scores and write a great essay. They are extremely holistic so that may or may not work in your favor.</p>
