University of Florida RDII decisions-2007

i too got into a better college then UF, UW is ranked 42.

Then not much hard feelings, right? I mean, if you were accepted into a better college, it just means UF missed out. (:

But florida is much superior to washington. I don't wanna freeze my ass off for 4 years. And bruins if you're so happy about not getting in why are yous till posting here. Get over it.

And I know come april 1, I'll be acepted to "better" schools, but I really don't have a way to pay for any of that, so I'm happy for UF...

what school is april 1st visirale? And UW is ranked 42 and UF is about 50. Seattle is not cold at all, and I too am waiting on two other decisions.

But what's April 1?

April 1 = all ivy league and LACs.

Yeah I liked seattle, but I've lived in FL my whole life and I love it here. I couldn't deal with a real winter (read: more than 5 days below 50 degrees).

Oh and sorry for being a little rude in that last post... I'm a little tipsy :P.

heh.dont wry man

what part of florida you in? im in south florida.

what's LACs?

I'm in central, outside orlando.

Liberal Arts Colleges (Like Amherst, Williams, Swarthmore). Pretty much same academic prestige as the ivies but much smaller and more personal.

i bet bruinsJEW is from west boca...and have fun paying 12k or more a year at U-dub when you could get the same quality education at UF

UF is ranked like 47. alotta ppl who got rejected from UF got into Georgia Tech which is ranked 38. good luck with UWashington!!!

UbiquityEssence, I got into UDubb like back in early March. It's not final that I'm going yet so we'll see.

Waiting on some more "most competitive" schools.

But UW has like the best profile: 98% of the Professors have their PhD

7:1 Student to Faculty member ratio, every other college is like 14-19:1

UW-madison is great, as for all the other UW's=watered down versions.

By UW, I mean UDubb aka UWash @ Seattle.

Is he referring to Washington or Madison?

Anyways, BruinsJew, from my perspective it seems like you are trying to convince yourself that you are better off. Congrats on getting in UW, but I don't see why keep referring to it in your posts while downplaying UF.

EDIT: Ah, Washington...

Accepted...

waiting to hear from Brown and Columbia...

Wow! I am surprised at some of the people that were rejected, but I have heard that it is a lot more difficult to get in during RD2. I wonder why all these people with such good stats applied RD2.

RD is earlier than almost all other colleges.

Uhm, I do not have straight A's, I have Bs and I believe 1 C in the four years, and I have a 5.68... so it is possible

Wow meganoc, your school really does inflates the grades .....you got into UF with a 3.4 UW GPA? That does give my D2 (a high school junior) hope though!

I dont really think its inflating grades....a 5.68 at my school barely gets you into the top 10%, which is why i'm not there.

Of course it is inflation! A 3.4 UW equaling a 5.68 Weighted???? That is definitely grade inflation and has nothing to do with class rank or percentages. My D2 has a 3.4 UW but that is equal to a 3.6 Weighted at her school!
