I hope to graduate early because my family is moving again (I’m a “military brat”) and I would be in the middle of my senioyear; if I graduate a semester early I’ll be able to finish with all my needed classes I’m just worried what colleges would think. Will it hurt my chances because I couldn’t take as much AP classes? I was thinking of going straight to a university in spring of 2019 since I would graduate in fall of 2019. I also have a prepaid plan for Florida since 2001.

GPA so far = 4.03
Class Rank= 14/527

ACT Sophmore Year:27
Taking again and I know I can get a 30, the first one was meant as a benchmark and to alleviate some test anxiety

EC’s : We The People (self started cultural awareness club), mock trial, student ambassadors, student council, tutoring, teen advisory board (community), youth leadership initiative (community), Science Olympiad and science club, archery, catalyst (Youth group at school), National History Day and Silver Cord (over 150 hours of service)

Hooks: Afro/Caribbean Female, first gen American

If I’m weak in any area please let me know!

I don’t know if you can actually apply for spring admission as a freshman. You should contact admissions - sometimes they offer it to students who aren’t admitted to Fall but these must follow the Fall application deadlines (IE., you’d be applying now).

If not University of Florida are there any schools you’d recommend me for a match?

I think you have a low reach shot, some things can really help and I think you do have a chance, FSU may be a match. Chance me back please

What do you think would help?

Are you hoping for a Florida school? U South Florida is a beautiful school (either campus) and becoming very popular. My kids have a lot of friends at FIU. I really don’t understand it, but everyone I know at UCF really likes it. To me it is huge and in Orlando (so extra hot) but they all really love it.

I’m pretty sure all the Florida schools allow starts in the summer, fall, or spring. If you don’t want to start immediately after graduating in Dec, you could always start in ‘summer’, which is as early as May at UF.
