This is my first post, but I'm really worried over this.

I visited UF yesterday and now I'm as excited as ever to apply there. I want to become a vet, so I know it is the school for me. Anyway, I know a lot of seniors this year from my school that got rejected from there, most of whom are in the top 5-10% of their class. Has anyone gotten accepted/rejected there? What is your GPA, ACT/SAT and anything else that you think got you in.. or not.

I never wanted to apply to UF and I did not. I could have never been a gator. Many of my friends and people I do to school with did apply. Quite a few got in, mostly for summer, a few for fall. The rest were flat out rejected when they applied ED.

I got in it as a match/safety. GPA: 3.92 Weighted GPA: 4.41. SAT- CR-670/M-700/W-740. Rank: 8/317. I did regular decision 1. I won't list my EC's because they couldn't care less; they're all about numbers: SATs (their primary importance) and GPA. I know soooo many people who go there so if you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

Hi. I was wondering if I would get into UF with my current standings. Im currently a junior, going to senior year.
My gpa is about 3.85 unweighted, and 4.5 weighted.
Im ranked 11th in my class
But my SAT scores are pretty weak. CR-550 and M-630. Im going to doing early decision, and I was wondering If I had a chance of getting in. Could you give me an estimate?

Ok im going to tell you a story. UF is loves legacies. My sister had a 1000/1600 on SAT 3.5 gpa and was a legacy who had crappy ec's. She got rejected at first but then they called her back when they didnt see the part where it said legacy.

UF does indeed love legacies. If you really want to go there, make sure you apply ED to the summer school. They're pretty stats oriented in admissions so get good scores if possible. And if you're interested in becoming a vet they're terrific for it, I know a few people who are very successful as vets from there, and I don't really know a lot of vets.

See I am like guaranteed admission because my whole family has gone there since my dad's generation, im a resident of florida, I have awsome ec's, 3.9 (weighted) gpa, and predicted 1950 SAT. :)

I got accepted. The one thing that UF absolutely loves is.. IB candidates (that and National Merit). They pride themselves on having the most IB diploma recipients in the nation. You could have VERY low SAT scores, but be an IB candidate and get accepted. GPA unweighted is 3.86, weighted 6.139.
