Hello! Can anyone speak to or shed light as to why UF invites applicants to apply for housing at time of application? My son applied and was notified that he would hear decision on February 23. We are OOS. The invitation to apply for housing was sent a couple days ago. Just curious! Thanks!
UF and their housing are two totally different business entities which operate on separate fiscal year dates.
Housing applications are on first come-first served basis so the earlier you reply the more chance you have of first choice of housing. And no, the 25 bucks are not refundable even if you are rejected.
You don’t HAVE to apply before the housing deadline of May 1 and before finding out if you are actually accepted but if you think you’ll be accepted, attend and want housing then it’s nice to get on the list much sooner than later.
